Anne Arrington Todd

Mrs. Anne Arrington Todd, age 85, of Bartow, died, on Monday, July 1, 2019, at her residence following an extended illness.   Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, July 5 at Josey Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.  Reverend Jeff Meeks will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Donnie Smith, Tim Smith, Chris Godfrey, Ron Stovall and Charles Smith.

Mrs. Todd was born in Bartow, the daughter of the late Eugene Thomas Smith and the late Ruth May Josey. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Emory Smith, Josey Smith, Lamar Smith, Verlon Smith, Emily Smith and Margaret Smith.   She was the wife of the late Billy Steve Todd.   Mrs. Todd was retired from Southern Bell with over thirty-five years of service.  Her career with Southern Bell began with her being a switchboard operator and she served in various capacities and retired as a sales representative.  She was an active member of Josey Baptist Church where she served as pianist and in numerous leadership roles.  She loved to shop.

Survivors are her son, Doug Arrington of Bartow, daughter, Karen Arrington of Sandersville; two cherished grandchildren, Rick Jackson and Danielle Bridges Cowart; four great grandchildren, Cole Jackson, Logan Jackson, Connor Cowart and Z. J. Scott; two sisters, Kay Meeks of Augusta and Gail Schroeder of Wisconsin;  a beloved niece, Joan Dey of Bartow;  and her wonderful caregivers, Shalena McCoy, Terika Blocker, Natisha Lawrence and Joann Key.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday.

The family suggest donations be made to Josey Baptist Church, 305 Arrington Road, Bartow, Georgia 30413.
